1. Technical services for primary producers (farmers)
   
   • In its role as an extension service provider, ABK delivers crop production and post harvest technology using a range of extension methods, including farmer field schools, field demonstrations, field days, mass media campaigns. Its techniques adopt the principles of adult learning by doing and all its exercises are participatory;
2. Input supply
   
   • Credit for farm inputs – ABK will provide its recommended inputs to its farmer clients, in kind and interest free. The premium is to be repaid at harvest;
   • ABK will guarantee all inputs are true to label with a fair market price. Inputs include seed, fertilizer, pesticides.
3. Fair farm-gate prices
   
   • In its role as intermediary, ABK is the link between farm and market. It brings a transparency and integrity to the farm gate transaction by offering product and price information as well as placing a benchmark for farmers and buyers with a price ABK is prepared to pay for high quality product;
   • Premiums for quality – in setting its price ABK takes into account the potential for value adding.
