Apiwat Bandanh Kasekar (ABK) was registered in Phnom Penh on 24th December 2007 as a non-government organisation. Its stated objective is:

"To position farmers, farmer organisations and SMEs in the supply chain to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction and value while effectively enhancing the competencies of all in the supply chain".

ABK networks farmers, farmer groups and small-medium enterprises within value chains to create and deliver a quality product to meet the demands of end customers.

ABK achieves its objective by:

• Assisting farmers, farmer groups and agri-business with:
  • knowledge, information and technology for good agriculture practice;
  • access to suitable credit;
  • access to good quality and affordable inputs;
  • access to markets;
  • information on regulations
  • business development
• Assisting development of farmer groups for contracting and extension;
• Raising awareness on the environmental, economic, social, and health related issues/benefits of good agricultural practice;
• Providing and disseminating information on quality for agriculture products to farmers and consumers;
• Liaising with Government authorities, other NGOs and donors in the implementation of its activities.
